Electrical Circuit Engineer

Consilium Recruit is exclusively partnering a leading engineering & manufacturing group who specialise in innovative solutions & products to the EV and clean energy sectors.  Due to the award of new programs and expansion, they have a number of new vacancies to join their team and are currently recruiting for an Electrical Circuit Engineer.  You will be involved at all stages of the design and development process and will liaise directly with system owners and the engineering teams, to define electrical requirements and develop the electrical distribution architecture.

The Role

Design of electrical system concepts including power distribution architecture, and grounding architectures, in collaboration with the harness routing and packaging design.
Generation and design verification of detailed electrical circuit wiring schematics.
Support the integration of circuits with the 3D and 2D harness layout design.
Ensure project documentation is correctly managed, maintained and released in accordance with company QMS (quality management systems) processes and procedures.
Support in the delivery of electrical FMEA and electrical design validation activities.
Manage circuit engineering change control activity.
Generation and control of electrical databases.
Delivery of engineering tasks in line with project milestones.
Support prototype builds and provide engineering support for vehicle/system commissioning, fault finding and diagnosis.

The Candidate 

Must have an exceptional knowledge of general automotive engineering vehicle technologies.
Sound knowledge of electrical principles, materials selection, and manufacturing techniques.
Have a good knowledge of Electric and Hybrid vehicle technologies.
A basic understanding of general mobility technologies.
A degree or similar in an electrical engineering discipline.
A minimum of 5 years’ relevant industry experience i.e. Automotive, Motorsport or Aerospace.
System design from concept to delivery, with a good understanding of electrical design requirements.
Experience in automotive electrical systems design and prototype development.
Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office and applications.
Experience of electrical system CAD software.
