Field Service Engineer

A leading supplier of specialist equipment to the aerospace, automotive and engineering sectors is currently recruiting a Field Service Engineer. You will be tasked with both preventative and reactive maintenance. The successful candidate will be well practiced with servicing High Tech equipment and have experience with PLC Systems. You will be field based working as part of a team who cover the UK and occasional European travel from time to time.


Salary: £ 30,000 - £ 42,000 p.a. + Company vehicle + overtime + bonus + life assurance + pension.

The Role

This is a field based role to work as part of a Service Team covering the UK, therefore you will be required to travel to client sites throughout the UK with occasional travel to Europe. 

Key responsibilities:
To provide routine servicing and breakdown assistance to customers.
Carry out start-up and commissioning of equipment.
Train customers in safe operation and maintenance of specialist high tech equipment.
To carry out and control installations of specialist machinery.
Timely completion and submission of risk assessments work reports, activity reports and all other documentation.
Look for recommendations and opportunities to improve the clients system, (reliability or productivity) and where appropriate provide quotations to the client for parts, consumables, plant upgrades and refurbishment work.


The Person

The successful candidate will be an experienced Service / Maintenance Engineer ideally with a multi-skilled background and an electrical bias. Applicants must have proven experience of providing maintenance on specialist high tech equipment. You must be flexible to travel to customers sites throughout the UK with occasional European travel dependant on your schedule.
