The Workshop Maintenance Technician will conduct general housekeeping tasks, perform light maintenance and labouring duties to support the everyday running of the MTC Workshop.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Carrying out light maintenance duties on tools and equipment
Carry out machine relocations
General housekeeping duties
Carrying out general internal job requests taking responsibility to complete them in the allotted time when they are scheduled
Complete internal service reports
General labouring duties
Assisting with reactive and routine maintenance work as and when required
Removal of various hazardous and non-hazardous waste around the workshop
Accept deliveries of stores, material, and any other goods and transfer to the appropriate storage locations
Occasional travel to Oxford and Liverpool site for delivery of workshop goods - vehicle provided
Carry out stock takes within the workshop when required
Support workshop with 5S activities
Reporting issues with unsafe tools and equipment
The successful candidate for the role of Workshop Maintenance Technician will have/be:
Knowledge and experience with hand tools and power tools
Counterbalance forklift licence
Be able to work in a workshop environment across a wide range of activities
Experience of working in a labouring or workshop role or equivalent
Experience with lifting and slinging (desirable)
Hold a full UK driving licence
MEWP licence (Desirable)
Able to meet the physical demands of the role, such as lifting and long-standing periods
