The role will provide leadership within the Construction and Infrastructure division of the business focussing on new business development, account management, commercial and general management and delivery of projects / programmes.

For the role of Director of Infrastructure and Construction Sector we seek an exceptional leader for the construction and infrastructure sector with a will to drive financial targets (P&L), project delivery and service levels, and strategic business development for the sector‘s key accounts.
The role will involve both, working with and gaining new business, with strategic partners in the Construction and Infrastructure sector, therefore you will have an excellent understanding of the market, able to deliver new projects, win and develop new business and critically, lead a team to achieve and deliver on the team‘s financial targets.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Develop Sector specific strategy plan in order to maximise the relevance and impact the MTC has in its chosen industry sectors.
Drive sustainable sector growth.
Oversee the development and maintenance of sector technology roadmaps to ensure alignment between industry sector needs (pull) and MTC capabilities (push).
Manage the Sector P&L performance in line with budget and forecast expectations, along with highlighting downside risks / upside opportunities and plans to address them.
Provide strategic business development leadership in order to build and sustain key relationships across the sector and clients.
Provide effective governance over sector programmes and projects to ensure effective and efficient delivery across all parameters (quality/technical, cost, schedule and customer satisfaction).
Ensure effective flow down of objectives across the sector team aligned with the business and sector targets.
Provide leadership for the sector team and work with the functional leads to manage performance.

The successful candidate for the role of Director of Infrastructure and Construction Sector will have the following attributes:
A proven track record of strategic planning, strategic business development and a broad experience in business development, operational and programme / project management, and people management, with an understanding of how to effectively run a business unit including P&L responsibility.
Candidates should have a degree (in Business or related Engineering), high level Stakeholder Management, be a strong communicator, understand risk management and an ability to identify and resolve issues using a strongly analytical approach whilst being a motivator for the team.
