One of the UK‘s foremost research and development groups has a new vacancy for a Principal Power Electronics Engineer. Joining at a time of rapid growth and investment you will be the technical lead for collaborative and commercial power electronics R&D projects. Candidates are sought with previous technical leadership of multi-discipline engineering projects and excellent team working skills.

Line management of the power electronics engineer team.
Technical lead for assigned collaborative and commercial power electronics R&D projects
Assess PCB designs to optimise electromagnetic and thermal performance.
Support the activities of the power electronics team as well as collaborate with the other engineering functions o
Technical Reporting to project team and wider audience to demonstrate regular progress.
Responsible for materials, design and delivery of sub-assemblies
PhD / Master‘s degree level qualification within power electronics.
A minimum of 10 years demonstrable Power electronics converters design experience in various application fields, preferably in automotive and/or energy sectors.
Excellent team working skills with the ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with multi-teams‘ cooperative projects.
Experience in technical leadership of simultaneous operated multi-discipline engineering projects, mainly power electronics related with proven analytical and problem-solving skills to propose solutions for any operational challenges.
