The Manufacturing Technology Centre is collaborating with the UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) and the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) to train and develop apprentices in a brand new purpose built training academy in Oxfordshire.
Courses will be delivered by the MTC, replicating the industry-leading Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre on the MTC campus in Coventry. The AMTC has rapidly built a reputation for equipping apprentices not only with core engineering skills but also the latest advanced manufacturing techniques. The environment is both dynamic and engaging, supporting the next generation of highly skilled and agile Engineers.
Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit the MTC are seeking a Business Development Manager.
The Business Development Manager will drive the sales activity for our Apprentice and Commercial Training business, ensuring we deliver on our key sales targets to support the achievement of our strategic plan.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Working with major high value manufacturers and MTC members to understand their needs for training and apprenticeships.
Developing & deepening existing Key Account relationships in order to achieve apprentice and commercial training objectives.
Originating & converting new account opportunities to drive growth.
Liaising with key industry partners to drive collaboration.
Planning training/development programmes with apprentices and employers, taking individual and business requirements into account
Conducting Employer Premises Compliance and subsequent monitoring visits to ensure all matters in relation to health, safety and insurance are in place.
Providing close support and guidance to existing and new employers in relation to apprenticeship standards information and guidance including future developments.
Working with the Marketing and AMTC teams to ensure that all existing and new courses are marketed and promoted to potential employers.
The successful candidate for the Business Development Manager will have/be:

Ability to successfully relationship manage accounts in order to develop scalable and deliverable training programmes to suit their business needs.
Competent with MS Office.
Excellent communication skills across all levels.
A robust understanding of stakeholder engagement.
A demonstrable ability to work to tight deadlines in complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
Highly motivated and resilient.
Able to work within pressurised environment and can demonstrate agile working
Effective at seeking out sales opportunities through outbound prospecting.
