The Manufacturing Technology Centre is a UK success story - created to provide manufacturing systems solutions in an agile environment in partnership with industry, academia and other institutions. Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking a Project Manager. The role will involve being responsible for the set-up, management and delivery initially of projects in the Liverpool Digital Manufacturing Accelerator (DMA) programme.

The Digital Manufacturing Accelerator (DMA) is an initiative that brings world leading manufacturing research, technology and experts together. The programme aims to accelerate the implementation of innovative physical and digital manufacturing technologies into UK manufacturing and supply chains by utilising a state-of-the-art ’reconfigurable factory environment‘ and a ’digital factory environment‘ in the heart of Liverpool.
The Project Manager will include the coordinated organisation, direction and implementation of a number of transformation activities to achieve outcomes and realise benefits of strategic importance to the MTC. At the end of this programme the intention will be to deliver further significant research and development projects across the organisation.
The role of Project Manager will:
Be responsible for planning, budgeting and delivering against these
Ensure high performance
Set requirements for long-term project performance
Point of contact with customers and suppliers
The successful candidate for the role of Project Manager will have/be:
Experience as a Project Manager successfully delivering transformational projects;
Qualified to degree level;
Project Management competencies that can be used across a wide variety of future research and development programmes;
Ideally professionally qualified to APM or equally similar standard
Experience using Microsoft Project
Be able to demonstrate behaviours including; being accountable, being active, being collaborative, being direct, being fair and consistent.
